Toward MG 2016 - Made it to Louisville!

 6/13/2016

Today, we left Lexington and drove to the Woodford Reserve distillery in Versailles, KY.  The scenery is becoming pretty spectacular as we start passing horse farms.  At Woodford, we had a very educational tour and tasting, then had lunch before leaving and heading to Louisville.

The best part - tasting!

We finally made it to Louisville, and picked up our registration packets for the event.  There are lots of MGs in the parking lot and its very hot!  This evening, the group went to Churchill Downs for a tour and hors d'oeuvres.  The tour and museum were very interesting.  The thoroughbred Barbaro is buried outside the entrance.

After returning from Churchill Downs, we ate at the Blue Horse, the restaurant in the Crowne Plaza hotel.  It was recommended to us, but being in the hotel should have been a red flag - it was awful - food and service.  We'll be eating at local restaurants in the future!
